We’ll Help You Choose the Best Water Heater for Your Needs

Choosing a new water heater for installation is a big decision. There are basically 5 types of water heating systems, although we mostly install Conventional Storage Tanks (that big drum in the corner of your basement) and Tankless or On-Demand Water Heaters.

Conventional Storage Tanks are definitely the most common and have the least amount of upfront costs. Basically, there is the insulated storage tank, a temperature and pressure relief valve, a thermostat, and a pilot light. The insulated tank holds about 30-50 gallons of water at about 210 degrees F. They are available in gas and electric.

Tankless water heaters use intense flashes of heat against water-filled coils to heat the water as needed. They are extremely energy efficient and require a fraction of the space, but come with a bigger price than conventional tanks. They are most commonly fitted for natural gas, though available in electric as well. Tankless water heaters are ideal for large families because you never "run out" of hot water.

If your water heater is acting up or getting old, give us a call at (616) 818-8850. We’ll provide an expert analysis of your water heater’s condition before we help you choose a new one.
